The international hit No Lights No Lycra is coming to Tauranga.
The dancing in the dark movement already has 75 locations worldwide, with groups from Australia to the United States regularly dancing like nobody is watching... because they really can't see much.
Now Tauranga is added to the list.
This Friday, dance lovers are able to release their inhibitions and get moving and grooving in the Ohauiti Settlers Hall (459 Ohauiti Road) from 7 to 8pm.
Organiser Eva Wolf says, 'The darkness creates a certain kind of magic that forces you to forget about what you or the people around you look like, so that your brain can shut off and your body can move to the beat. It's the perfect place to shake out the stresses of the week.”
There are two more sessions of No Lights No Lycra planned during the winter months on Friday, July 30 and August 27, also from 7 to 8pm.
Tickets: $5 (pre-sale only, email: [email protected] to secure your spot)
No Lights No Lycra is an alcohol-free and drug-free event. Bring a bottle of water.
