UPDATE 12.29pm: Fire crews have now left the scene of a house fire in Ruatoki.

Three engines and one tanker attended the scene of the fire after multiple calls were received at around 9.20am.

Northern fire communications shift manager Colin Underdown confirms the fire was well involved upon arrival but has been contained by fire crews.

An investigation into the cause of the fire has already taken place.

'An investigation has been conducted and all our people have now left the scene," Colin confirms.

Nobody was injured in relation to the incident.

EARLIER: Firefighters are at the scene of a house fire in Ruatoki this morning.

'When we arrived on the scene the fire was fully involved,” says northern fire communications shift manager Mark Richards.

'We currently have three appliances on the scene and another one is currently on the way.”
