A Western Bay of Plenty organisation has launched a new website in an effort to provide more help to social agencies in the region.

SociaLink is the Western Bay of Plenty's umbrella group for social service providers and community organisations.

The new website includes more information to help agencies build their services and improve their learning.

SociaLink General manager Liz Davies says they will be adding information to the website as more research becomes available.

'There's a growing page with relevant research which has been collated especially for the social sector locally and includes all the research that SociaLink has completed to date.”

A searchable database of all the social sector organisations in the area has been included so people can find the help they need.

'The Resource section has been refreshed and a few new resources have been added, including an orientation pack for workers new to the social sector in the Western Bay.

'We're hoping people will be able to find their way around what we offer and social agencies can find the resources they need more easily.”

What does it say about a nation when social service provision is a growth industry...?
