Tauranga Police are investigating the cause of a car fire in Parkvale.

Firefighters were called to the blaze on the corner of Baycroft Ave and Courtney Road at about 11.30pm.

A police spokesperson says there's no information to suggest anyone was in the vehicle.

'Police are making enquiries.”

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact their nearest police station.
