Andrew and Robyn McLeod, and Noel and Marilynn McLeod are opening their farm to the public this Sunday as part of the national Federated Farm Day.
Six farms around the country will open their gate to the public as part of the Federated Farmers which has been running for the last four years.
Organisers say the even gives urban people a chance to see what goes on behind the farm fate and get a taste of rural life.
All sorts of events will be taking place on the day including a gumboot run, silage wrap machine on display, sheep shearing and cows being milked.
Andrew and Robyns children will also be lending a hand on the Welcome Bay Road farm.
The Farm Day was established to bridge the urban rural divide, giving both groups a chance to come together.
The Federation was formed in 1899 as the New Zealand Farmers Union.
Federated Farmers today is New Zealand's leading rural advocate. To find out more about the Federation visit their website by clicking here.
