Speed tolerance nil

I voted and read with interest the results of your speed tolerance survey. I wonder how many of your readers realise that the current 4km/h speed tolerance is actually a 0km/h speed tolerance when you take the accuracy of Police radar at 100km/h into account?
If a private company was advertising as the Police do they could be prosecuted under the fair trading act for being misleading.
Somethings wrong when the tolerance is so low that even if you set the cruise control in a brand new car to a true 95km/h it is still possible to get a ticket. (Over-run down hills etc) Wake up NZ, demand some proper road safety initiatives instead of having Police tied up on the side of the road issuing tickets to accidental speeders, while the real road menaces are whizzing by.
