The weather forecast is showing a fine start to the day, with possible morning fog. Cloud will be increasing overnight, and there will be light winds throughout the day. It's a three-clothing layer day with an expected high of 18 degrees, and an overnight low of 8 degrees.

On Monday May 27 we're expecting a mostly cloudy day with a few showers developing in the morning and northerlies from the afternoon. Rain on Tuesday, easing late in the day as northerlies change to westerly.

Te Puke Gymsport & Parkour are celebrating their 65th anniversary today at 27 Station Rd, Te Puke from 2pm.

Classic Flyers are having an Open Day to celebrate their 14th anniversary. Starting at 10am, this is a family friendly event. More here

The popular Bethlehem School Cow Dump Gala is back, running from 10.30am – 2pm at Bethlehem School in Carmichael Rd. There will be carnival rides, hot food including international specialties and a cake stall. Plus loads of fun games for the children to play. Come and enjoy the white elephant stall, amazing raffles, silent auctions and the famous cow dump!

Leo Murray - Whywaste

A composting workshop hosted by Envirohub Bay of Plenty is being held today at 13 May St, Mount Maunganui, from 10am- 12noon. Leo Murray from Whywaste, - a sustainability consultant, activist, permaculture designer and visionary will take attendees through a comprehensive composting and worm farming workshop alongside the Mount Community Gardens. Ngapeke Permaculture are holding a free Open Day at 11 Kaiwha Rd, Welcome Bay from 10am – 3pm. Activities include sausage sizzle, children's activities, and workshops on how to build a Wicking Garden and make a Beans Tee Pee. More here
