The weather forecast is showing a fine start to the day, with possible morning fog. Cloud will be increasing overnight, and there will be light winds throughout the day. It's a three-clothing layer day with an expected high of 18 degrees, and an overnight low of 8 degrees.

On Monday May 27 we're expecting a mostly cloudy day with a few showers developing in the morning and northerlies from the afternoon. Rain on Tuesday, easing late in the day as northerlies change to westerly.

A composting workshop hosted by Envirohub Bay of Plenty is being held today at 13 May St, Mount Maunganui, from 10am- 12noon. Leo Murray from Whywaste, - a sustainability consultant, activist, permaculture designer and visionary will take attendees through a comprehensive composting and worm farming workshop alongside the Mount Community Gardens.
