With some amusement I see the Anti Council brigade are off to a great start for the new year. The never ending wave of negative letters in the Sun just keep on coming, week after week.
What is it with these people? Boredom perhaps, no hobbies, bad at golf? Or are they just so much more intelligent than the rest of us.
One would think with all their infinite knowledge and expertise that one day they would go for Mayor Crosby's job . But oh no, Just keep bitchin' on about every single development in the Bay. Whether it's a roading project, sporting facility, The Strand development, Bay wave, Route K ... the list goes on. Totally sick of reading all of the gripes from the same old bunch of whiners.
I've lived here in the Bay for 30 plus years and have seen a tremendous change.
People from all corners of the globe leave everything behind so they can live in the Bay. So I'm thinking Mr whiner leave Tauranga, leave for good. Plenty of smaller rural towns would welcome you with open arms. But I'll put money on it you won't . Why? Because they simply haven't got what we have here. Keep up the good work TCC.

Give me the moaners any day over the handwringing looters and bludgers who plead, beg and demand - as of a right - that the council do this, do that, and everything apart from wipe their bottoms for them! These moaners are the last remaining defense of your rights and property! Without these people showing their dissatisfaction with out of control spending and do-gooding your rates would spiral out of control even more than they are now! I have noticed that socialists don't like it when people attempt to keep a rein on council spending- it makes it much more difficult to bleed others of their money for the projects they demand. Many of these moaners do not make demands of you, however on the other hand you would make demands of them - no wonder you don't like them moaning.
