Fire crews have managed to control a house fire that sparked callouts in the Brookfield area this afternoon.

A message to the SunLive Facebook page says no one looks hurt but fire trucks are at the property.

'They are on Lisa Place in Brookfield.”

Fire and emergency northern communications spokesperson Murray Bannister says they started receiving calls at around 2.15pm to reports of a house fire.

'We responded two fire appliances, and upon our arrival the roof was involved in fire.

'The fire is out now, they are just dampening everything down and are making sure that the fire is fully extinguished.”

Murray says there have been no reports of injuries or damage to any other properties on the street.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
