Major roadworks are taking place on State Highway 2 between Waihi Road and Moffat Road in Bethlehem due to road resurfacing.
The road works begin tonight and continue for the next six weeks, says the NZTA.
Motorists are to expect delays and the NZTA encourage people to use alternate routes if possible.
