Nobody has been injured following a house fire in Brookfield yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were notified of the fire at around 4.30pm, where the house was fully involved in flames when crews arrived at the scene.

Fire and Emergency northern communications shift manager Carren Larking says it was a single level residential building, approximately 25 by 10 metres.

'There was a fire in the roof.

'There was no person injured or reported in the building at all.”

It took three fire crews three hours to put the fire out and leave the scene.

'We got there at about 4.30pm and we left at about 7.30pm,” says Carren.

It was an eventful day in Brookfield yesterday with a Ute crashing into a fence, taking out power poles and power to nearby residents.

It took approximately 10 hours to restore power to households.
