One lucky Bay of Plenty Lotto player will be having a great start to their Christmas break after being one of 15 players to win Lotto's Second Division in Saturday night's live draw.

The player, who won through the MyLotto App has won $22,238.

One lucky player from Morrinsville has extra reason to celebrate after also winning Powerball Second Division, taking their total winnings to $44,493. The winning ticket was sold at New World Morrinsville in Morrinsville.

In a statement from Lotto NZ, it says anyone who bought their ticket from any winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at MyLotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.
