With wellbeing in the workplace a hot topic in 2019, the Bay of Plenty's annual Business Expo has announced an award-winning wellbeing specialist, author and entrepreneur as their keynote speaker for their 2019 event.

Hot off the TEDx stage in New York State, founder of the Snack on Exercise movement Lauren Parsons, will speak at the Business Expo's VIP Breakfast Forum at Trustpower Baypark on Wednesday March 6.

Renowned for her practical time-saving approach to making healthy life habits stick, Lauren Parsons will share life-changing ways to thrive in the workplace and super-charge productivity while achieving balance and wellbeing. Lauren equips people with tried and tested strategies that work, even for the busiest of executives and teams.

'We are delighted Lauren will be the keynote speaker at the 2019 event,” says Director of Jigsaw Solutions Group and the Business Expo Sharon Giblett.

'We have a long association with Lauren and are excited that exhibitors and VIP guests will experience the wisdom of an international speaker of Lauren's calibre and experience.”

Originally from New Zealand, Lauren has been posted to Ottawa, Canada for the past two years with her husband, Lt Colonel Maurice Parsons and their three children, while her husband fulfilled the role of Exchange Officer.

Being a working parent, and relocating regularly, eight times in the past 15 years with five international moves, Parsons knows what a busy lifestyle is like. She shares with her clients' high level strategies and techniques to help them maintain their health, energy and productivity, achieving more with less time.

Her morning keynote on the topic of ‘Overcoming the Overwhelm – How to thrive in a fast-paced world' will be a showcase event.

This will be the first time Lauren has presented in Tauranga. A prominent conference speaker, Lauren travels regularly to present to businesses, helping organisations create a high-energy, peak-performance team culture, which enables people and businesses to thrive.

The feature breakfast event is expected to be highly sought after by business leaders and managers from around the region and beyond.

'With wellbeing playing such a key role in managing workplace culture, health and safety, this event is not to be missed,” says Sharon.

Together with her team, Sharon has been busy behind the scenes continuing to build the Bay of Plenty's premium business event.

The Business Expo showcases leading edge and forward-thinking businesses, speakers and education all under one roof. Following the inaugural event in 2018, more than one million dollars of business continues to be generated.
