What’s on? Cars, markets, galas and fireworks

Good morning SunLive readers and welcome back to the weekend!

Weather-wise it's looking good so far for the Bay, compared to other parts of the country, some of whom are even battling with widespread flooding!

MetService says we're in for a fine morning, and perhaps some showers in the afternoon - but it's nothing to be too concerned about. The high today is 22°C and your low overnight is 12°C.

Another busy weekend is upon us, with activities on in nearly every corner of Tauranga city and afar.

If sleek, shiny and striking is your preference when it comes to cars then be sure to head down to Masonic Park from 10am.

The Jaguar Car show, including classic and modern models, will be on until 1pm and best of all it's free!

Or if markets are your buzz, then make sure to make the most of the huge variety being held today.

Brookfield School is hosting theirs, along with Circa Vintage market at Cliff Road, the Zee Markets at Elizabeth Street and a plant sale at 59 Grantston Drive in Pyes Pa - with all profits going to SPCA.

Make sure you check out the calendar below to get the full list of details.

And one to set an alarm for, later tonight is St Mary's Firework Display. The gala kicks off from 5pm at St Mary's School on 13th Ave.

Live entertainment will be on offer, with fun stalls, delicious food, and the fireworks extravaganza.

Tickets are available online so make sure you secure yours.
