What’s on? Book sale and women’s expo

Good morning SunLive readers and welcome back to Saturday.

It's looking like a wet weekend ahead for the Bay, one of the first breaks in what has been in a chain of fine weather for a few weeks now.

MetService is reporting a chance of morning shower, with rain developing from the afternoon and a chance of heavy rain from the evening. The high today is 20°c with a low of 15°c overnight.

With that in mind it's likely to be the perfect opportunity to lay your eyes on a great book and snug up for the weekend.

The Lions Book sale is the perfect place for you to find that book. Held at Tauranga racecourse today and tomorrow from 8am-5pm, the sale will have hundreds of books on offer so head along and remember take your own bag!

Or if you're feeling a bit of cabin fever coming on, then why not head to the Focus on Women expo.

The event has been designed to inspire, empower, educate, connect and entertain women in the region.

Yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi and Martial Arts sessions will be running throughout the day so be sure to pack you're activewear if you're keen to join in.

There's also a range of inspiring and motivating presentations, including a chance to catch up with beauty and lifestyle influencer Simone Anderson.

Entry cost $8 and tickets are available at the door.

Plus there's a huge range of activities on in the region which you can check out below:
