A woman found with critical injuries in the Waikato has died.

The woman was found on Charlemont Street on Saturday.

Police say she died in Waikato Hospital overnight.

"Waikato Police are continuing to make inquiries into the death and it is being treated as unexplained.

"As part of the ongoing inquiry, police are appealing for anyone who saw a silver station wagon in and around the Charlemont and Ulster Street area on Saturday 29 September between 7-8pm."
