A 22-year-old man has been charged with murder following the death of a 48-year-old man in Papamoa yesterday.

The man was known to the deceased and will be appearing in Tauranga District Court tomorrow.

A police spokesperson says the police investigation is still ongoing however on-one else is being sought in relation to the death.

'Police want to thank residents of Papamoa who have assisted with the investigation and would like to hear from anyone else walking in the Harding Street area between 7.30am and 9am yesterday.”
