BOP toddler murder accused appears in court

The man accused of murdering a Bay of Plenty two-year-old will stay behind bars until his next court appearance.

Tewi Daniel Savage appeared via audio visual link in the High Court in Tauranga today.

The 32-year-old was arrested and charged with murder following an investigation into the death of Arnica Savage.

Arnica's body was found in the Rangitaiki River in the Bay of Plenty in July 1.

Tewi Savage was charged with her murder the following morning.

He has already pleaded not guilty to the charge during an earlier court appearance.

He is due to appear in court again next month, reports 1News.
