A Papamoa Lotto player is celebrating a $333,333 win.

The player is one of two to have won Lotto first division from Wednesday night's draw. The second winning ticket was bought in the Ashburton area.

The winning Lotto tickets were sold at Papamoa Superette in Papamoa and on MyLotto to a player from Ashburton.

The players are two of three who struck it big last night, with a Central Otago player scooping up a $22 million Powerball prize.

'The winning ticket was sold on MyLotto to a player from Central Otago. The total prize is made up of $22 million from Powerball First Division and $333,333 from Lotto First Division,” says a Lotto spokesperson.

'This is the largest Powerball prize ever won in the South Island and the largest prize won so far this year.”

Last night's $22.3 million prize is also the largest Powerball prize ever won on MyLotto.

Meanwhile, Strike Four rolled over tonight and will be $500,000 on Saturday.

Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ App.

Players can phone Lotto NZ on 0800 695 6886 if they want to enquire about the best way to claim a prize.
