Police are appealing for any information about a hit and run in Paeroa.

CCTV footage released by the police shows a vehicle driving down the main road of Paeroa, before swerving and hitting a parked car.

The vehicle was hit outside Subway Paeroa at 5.49am on August 4.

'The vehicle did not stop and continued on through Paeroa,” says a post on the Waikato Police Facebook page. Our watchhouse officer in Paeroa is hoping someone might be able to help with this case.

'The offending vehicle would have had considerable damage on the left front side of the vehicle.

'The CCTV footage shows a couple of other cars driving past and a person walking. Hoping one of them may have seen something.”

Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact their nearest police station.
