’Teetering’ cars and emergency callouts

A witness says emergency services are working frantically on a person on the ground.

Reports are coming in of a serious incident happening on State Highway 2, near the Papamoa turnoff.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says ambulance and police staff are on scene.

'They are frantically working on a person on the ground on the side on the road.

Meanwhile, a post on the Bay of Plenty Accidents Facebook page is warning motorists of a car "teetering" on the edge of Pyes Pa Road, just above Pakanga Grove.

There doesn't appear to be anyone with the vehicle, says a caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline.

Another person says the car has been there for a couple of days.

He says he wouldn't call it "teetering," but it's a silly place to leave a car.

SunLive has contacted police for more information and will update this story as soon as we have something more.
