Police name man found dead in Huntly

Waikato Police investigating the suspicious death of a man in his home in Huntly on Saturday can now formally name the deceased.

He was 48-year-old Wayne Terrence Noda.

"Mr Noda is believed to have died as a result of injuries he sustained, and Police have subsequently commenced a homicide investigation," says Detective Senior Sergeant Ross Patterson.

"We are interested in hearing from the people who were in a silver-colour SUV on Victoria Street, Hamilton, near Bryce Street about 6:30pm on Saturday June 30."

A man approached this vehicle and appeared to attempt to get into it.

"We are also interest in locating a 2001 Nissan Skyline, registration KAM195."
