Alcohol and cigarettes taken in armed robbery

Police are on the hunt for four men who robbed a liquor store of alcohol, cigarettes and e-cigarettes.

CCTV images of the accused have been released by police in an attempt to identify those responsible for the crime in Tokoroa.

Detective Constable Edward King says at around 9.30pm on April 9, four males entered the store armed with a crescent and a metal object and threatened staff members.

'They stole alcohol, cigarettes and e-cigarettes and left.

'The four males are believed be in their teens and were wearing scarves and hoodies to cover their faces.

'This is a highly concerning incident and anyone who has information that can help identify the young men is being urged to contact Tokoroa Police on (07) 885 0100.”
