A diverse range of companies have been named as finalists in the 2018 Zespri Bay of Plenty ExportNZ Awards demonstrate the vibrancy of the export sector.

Twelve finalists have been named across four categories and represent the strong and vibrant export sector which is part of the thriving business community in the Bay of Plenty.

"The Bay of Plenty is called home by hundreds of fantastic exporting businesses and this is reflected in the calibre of this year's award finalists," says ExportNZ Bay of Plenty executive officer, Jo Hall.

"ExportNZ strives to support exporters help themselves and each other, export more, by creating connections, offering information, training and assistance to grow as a company and as a region.

'We're passionate about supporting the region and these exporters, and they love being able to celebrate the wins and successes and sharing these stories," she says.

'The annual Bay of Plenty ExportNZ Awards provides a great opportunity for exporters to share their stories and celebrate their successes and it has been running for 28 years.”

This year, the winners from the categories 1 to 3 automatically qualify for entry into the New Zealand International Business Awards, run by New Zealand Trade and Enterprise.

'The collaboration between NZTE and ExportNZ will create a cohesive and exciting programme of awards for 2018, culminating in the NZIBA at the end of the year.

'Congratulations to all finalists.”
