For starters the weather looks as though it's going to hold up, which is an improvement on last week!

Fine spells are on the cards today, but there could be some afternoon and evening showers and northwesterlies.

And it looks like it's going to be a great day for thrifting and bargain hunting out there.

If you're in Otumoetai make sure you head out to the garage sale at St Columba Church. There's meant to be amazing deals, and a whole bunch of goodies to look at.

Or there's the Car Boot Sale at the Papamoa Community Church on Evans Road, happening from 8-11am.

They'll have a range of goods on sale including coffee – the real stuff too- and even a car wash. And if you wanted to be apart of it, it only costs $5 for a site.

If you're futher north, there's another Car Boot Sale in Greerton.

It's on right now and if you want to set up a site it's also $5 for a single, or if you're needing a double site $10.
