Man arrested after armed Tauranga raid

Police have arrested three people in relation to the aggravated burglary at a Whakamarama addres.

At about 4.15pm yesterday, police located a vehicle linked to the burglary and stopped it on Takitimu Drive.

"A 26-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman were arrested without incident," says Detective Dwayne Morgan. 

"At about 7pm, police arrested the third offender wanted in relation to this incident, a 29-year-old man, on Vale Street."

The trio will appear in Tauranga District Court today charged with committing burglary with a weapon.
