Disorder in Papamoa streets

Papamoa residents are reporting disorder and a heavy police presence tonight.

Reports are there are fights and mayhem in isolated areas of the seaside suburb.

Areas around Lyn Grove and Hartford Ave have been shut down after members of the public in the vicinity reported fighting, unconfirmed rumours of possible gunshots, and general mayhem in the streets.

The trouble started just before 9pm on Sunday night and a caller to SunLive said it seemed to be all over by around 10pm.

Should the Christmas/New Year school holidays be moved to February when the weather is typically better in NZ?

Yes, that is when I would take my holidays.
No, you never know when there is going to be bad weather.
