An injured seal was found washed up on Papamoa beach this morning.
The seal was found lying on the sand between Allan Place and Douglas Place along Papamoa Beach Road.
The injured seal was found on Papamoa Beach this morning.
It appeared the seal was battered from rough seas and was taking a break on the water's edge, about 5m from the start of the dunes.
The Department of Conservation is aware of the seal and members of its Tauranga office are monitoring it.

Why do we have to monitor wild animals. They do what they wan a do. we should share the environment with them but we don't need to monitor.

Sharon did YOU inform the the Department of Conservation about the seals at Pukehina, as they rely on information from the public so as to save animals and mammals in distress.
