UPDATED 10.18AM: A cyclist is believed to have sustained moderate injuries in a crash in Tauranga.

Police were called to the collision on 15th Ave, near Grace Road, just after 9am.

'The victims involved appear to have sustained moderate injuries and have been treated by ambulance,” says a police spokesperson.

'There is no further information this far.”

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says the crash caused traffic delays.

Emergency services are at the scene of a crash where a cyclist has been hit by a car in Tauranga.

A caller to the 0800 SUNLIVE news hotline says there are traffic delays around 15th Ave and Grace Road.

"Ambulance and police are at the scene. A young person is on the ground. They look to be ok."
