Police are releasing CCTV images of the offenders who smashed their way into a Tauranga liquor store armed with pieces of wood.

Tauranga Police are hoping to identify the men in the pictures, who are wanted in connection with the aggravated robbery of Liquorland on Cameron Road last Thursday, just before 9pm.

A police spokesperson says two to three men armed with wood, smashed their way into the store.

'They assaulted the shopkeeper with the wood.

'An ambulance was required for a leg injury to the victim.”
