Police need the public's help to find an elderly man who has not been seen or heard from since Wednesday morning.

Peter Kotkin-Smith, 74, was last seen at his Waihi home on the morning of April 5.

It's believed he is using his silver 2007 Toyota Corolla Ascent, registration number HUT843, to get around.

'If you see Mr Kotkin-Smith, please contact us immediately as his family are concerned for his welfare,” says a police spokesperson.
