A rates rebate is available to eligible Coromandel ratepayers who earned $24,470 or less in the tax year ending March 31, 2016.
To help eligible ratepayers with the process of applying for a rebate, Thames-Coromandel District Council is holding clinics in Tairua and Pauanui this Thursday.

The maximum rebate this year remains at $610.
The first clinic takes place at Pauanui's Community Hub from 9am to 12pm, followed by the Tairua Library from 1pm to 4pm.
To participate in the clinics, ratepayers will need to bring a completed application form which can either be downloaded from the Department of Internal Affairs website, or collected from council's area offices, the Tairua Library or the Pauanui Community Hub.
Ratepayers will also need to bring with them their current rates notice, plus theirs and their partner/joint homeowners' income information (before tax) for the financial year ended March 31, 2016.
Council says Thames locals can also book a one-on-one appointment with one of their customer services team at the Thames District Office to check their eligibility and fill in the application form.
To download an application form visit the Department of Internal Affairs website or for more information visit the Thames-Coromandel District Council's website at: www.tcdc.govt.nz/ratesrebate
