Merivale Primary School wants your support in an online haka competition that aims to raise spirits in earthquake-devastated Christchurch.
If the video of the full-school haka gets the most votes on www.superhaka.co.nz then Merivale school could win $3000 in prize money. Anyone can vote.

School behavioural support worker Huey Rurehe says there was strong support from the school community for the nationwide haka held on Thursday, May 19. The event was organised by Ngai Tahu.
'We are encouraging people to vote for us – we are the second top at the moment and have definitely got a good chance,” says Huey.
'I thought it was an awesome thing for our kids to get involved with and to be able to support Christchurch,” he says.
The school judged to have the best haka by Ngai Tahu officials wins $1000, while the haka to get the best most online votes wins $2000. Votes close midday Monday, May 30.
If the school wins, Huey says it will donate some prize money to the Christchurch quake fund and put the rest to kapa haka team costumes and uniforms.
