Police are appealing to the public for help to identify two men who tried robbing a Rotorua bar over the weekend.

Detectives investigating the attempted robbery say the two men pictured below entered the Kalah Bar in Ngongotaha, Rotorua, on Saturday at about 11.35am.

'The taller male (dark hoodie) made an effort to get into the private area behind the bar. Upon finding the door to the area locked the two men fled,” say police in a post Facebook.

'They got into a silver or grey coloured saloon car which was parked outside the community centre on School Road before a third person drove off.”
