The Thames-Coromandel District Council is inviting the community to have their say on rules around activities in public places and nuisances this August.
Community Environment manager Barry Smedts says the feedback will help council form its draft bylaw, which people can also have a say on when it goes out for formal consultation later this year.

'Everyone should be able to enjoy the Coromandel, and part of that is being a good neighbour and not causing a nuisance to others nearby,” he says.
'We've been addressing issues like this under bylaws for years. But it's time to look at the rules again and we want to make them easy to understand.”
To have your say council is inviting the community to fill out a ten question survey which should only take about five minutes to complete.
Examples of the questions include what type of animals should be allowed to be kept on properties in the middle of town, what kind of activities should be encouraged on reserves and beaches, and which public places should be smoke-free.
To have your say online visit the Thames-Coromandel District Council's website at: www.tcdc.govt.nz/ppn. Physical copies of the survey are also available from council offices.
