Civic Heart meeting moved

Due to the bleak weather forecasted Tauranga City Council has changed the location for the Civic Heart community event taking place today.

Originally scheduled to be held in Tauranga's Red Square, the event will now be taking in the Tauranga Central Library on Willow Street, from 10.30am to 1pm.

It is one of several events which have taken place across the city this week that have formed part of council's public consultation on creating Tauranga's civic heart, as well as giving the community opportunities to discuss the proposed changes to the long term plan.

Next week, elected members and council staff will also be down at the Bethlehem Town Centre discussing the civic heart project on Tuesday, July 12, from 10.30am to 2pm.

Hard copies of the Consultation Document and submission form are also available to be viewed at all Tauranga City Libraries and from council's customer service centre on Willow Street.

Public consultation closes at 5pm on Monday, July 18.
