A state of emergency has been announced for Hawke's Bay. Roads, buildings, farm land and infrastructure all damaged.
I must have missed the newspaper article advising of Cabinet Ministers flying into Gisborne and offering government help to restore roads, buildings, fences and farm land etc of support to orchardists and others by cash grants and tax relief and WINZ offering special assistance to those affected.
Also where are the special events being held to raise money and where are the collection points so I can donate my $2, or doesn't Hawke's Bay qualify for any assistance?
