Most acts are designed to keep Maori shut out of everything and off their property. This 'marine and coastal bill”, does indeed give a few rights back to the original owners (Maori) of this country, the Maori Party had to trade off something in return, something that will bring more hardship to Maori, that's politics for you!
On the other hand, many Maori oppose this bill too, those who live and practise the principles of sovereignty. These people simply want their property back. Maori have never extinguished their 'Title to ownership”.
The rangatira (youth) will serve justice upon us all, and when that happens, this 'bill” won't be worth the paper it's written on.
