I was absolutely amazed to read Frank Smead's letter in The Weekend Sun, when he stated as usual, that there is no global warming, and that Earth is about to enter another Ice Age! Just where does he get that notion? The general consensus is that our planet is warming – and fast! The main problem is our burgeoning population, predicted to reach seven billion by the end of 2012, and if no major pandemics etc, eight billion by 2035!
Earth is polluted now by poisons in the oceans, the atmosphere, and terra firma, caused mainly by humans. We are suffering now with 6.6 billion, so big trouble ahead unless we introduce birth control immediately, but the powers that be, (mainly the churches), discuss everything else, but evade birth control – the main problem! We control almost everything, yet we cannot control humanity.
Religion is the main hurdle with around 1.3 billion Muslims, and about one billion Catholics aiming for domination! And how very trivial that the Muslims condemn anyone who destroys that fallacial Koran, when all religions are vain and unsubstantial.
Proof now, that civil unrest is breaking out in nearly every major country, mainly through overpopulation! We humans are our own worst enemies with our future now very bleak indeed.
