A lucky Lotto player in Te Aroha will be celebrating this long weekend after winning $1 million with Lotto First Division in tonight's live Lotto draw.

The winning ticket was sold at Te Aroha Supermarket in Te Aroha.

Someone from Mount Maunganui won 2nd division: $18,413. The ticket was sold at Girven Road Micro Mart.

Powerball was not struck this week and has rolled over to Wednesday night, where the jackpot will be $5 million.

Strike Four has also rolled over to Wednesday night and will be worth $400,000.

Lotto New Zealand's Mother's Day promotion begins tomorrow.
