Why should he be required to prescribe to the same religious beliefs as yourself in order to deserve a seat in office? There are many religions with varied beliefs in our city and in our world. There is even a huge variation in the beliefs and practices of one religion, the Christians, whom you assume the rest of our country should follow. Wouldn't it be more Christian to be truly accepting and tolerant of those who choose to live their lives a little differently than yourself? Your religion commands you to 'Love Thy Neighbour”, and I'm sure that means to love (appreciate and respect) as he is and not as you think he should be.
