Appalling treatment

Where the hell is this Country heading? On TV1 News 21 March I witnessed New Zealand police wrestling to the ground in Christchurch, not looters, but business owners attempting, after many weeks of exclusion, to salvage items of importance from their damaged premises.
Surely this is all they may have left, and the overhanded actions I witnessed are completely over the top and without any sort of compassion. Shame, utterly, on all of those involved in this reaction.
I have, since the earthquake, given my time to help fund-raising activities, made monetary donations to the relief fund, offered assistance to those suffering; and to see such inconsiderate treatment of people there, quite frankly, appals me.

You're dead right Barry. But this is what happens when you hand over your hard won democratic rights to over paid senseless moronic bureaucrats who use their far too encompassing powers, to put the so called protectors of the people into this situation

Perhaps you are right but they didn't look like an overfriendly mob of people. What the powers that be should have made certain of was that all business owners were given every opportunity and assistance to get their records etc in a made safe protective environment.
