Listeria fears prompts terrine recall

L'Authentique branded terrine is being recalled as it may contain listeria.

The Ministry of Primary Industries website stated the products were sold in "various retail outlets" in Auckland, Tauranga, Hawke's Bay and Wellington.

L'Authentique branded terrine products in 100g plastic vacuum packages are being recalled.

Products affected are provencal terrine, duck and green peppercorn terrine, pork rillettes, chicken and pistachio terrine, and bacon and prune terrine, dated with use by dates of March 14 and March 21.

Affected products should not be consumed.

Customers should check the date stamp on the product and return the products to the retailer for a full refund.
