Motorists travelling between Tauranga and Rotorua via State Highway 26 are being asked to expect delays.

NZTA expects these works to continue until the end of March.
'The road will be reduced to a single lane, with 30km/h speed restrictions. There will also be a 24/7 traffic light control system in place for the duration of the work.
'Road users should anticipate delays through this route and allow an additional few minutes for their journey.”

THEY SHOULD HAVE BLOWEN THAT WHOLE CORNER OFF WHEN THEY DID THIS ROAD UP,CAN ANYBODY TELL US HOW MUCH ALL THIS IS COSTING,WHILE THEY ARE OUT THERE MAYBE CUT ALL THOSE BAD BENDS OUT,ALSO THE SINGLE LANE BRIDGE FURTHER THROUGH ALL THE BUSH AT THE TOP OF THE BANK NEEDS CUTTING BACK(ON TGA SIDE)SO AS TO BE ABLE TO SEE TRAFFIC COMMING DOWN FROM TGA SIDE MORE EASELY AT LEAST FOR TRUCKERS TO GET A RUN AT THAT HILL,I DID RING WBC BUT YOU MAY AS WELL TALK TO THE HAND,MAYBE THEY COULD ALL GO OUT THERE AND HAVE A MEETING IN THEIR FLOURO JACKETS AND CLIPBOARDS WITH NO PAPER TO LOOK ALL IMPORTANT,THATS MY TWO PENNIES WORTH THANKYOU SUNLIVE,THE BEST WEBSIGHT AND PAPER

theres only a certain speed you can go over that bridge.so cutting down the trees wont make any difference. and why the capitals.

The caps are because hes an old trucker and needs the to see what he is typing. Although just so you know MR trucker there is a button called Caps Lock, this will turn the capitals off. Keep it up your comments are entertaining.

The road is under NZTA control, not WBOPDC. However, a phone call would result in the same outcome.

Look at the bigger picture reading through here as it is will always present on going issues. At worst it takes you a few extra minutes keeping people in employment with our safety in mind. Can't be all bad when your rolling round in your 18 wheel earthquake hammering every surface travel over do the maths.
