One of Labour's big guns is in Tauranga tonight plotting and planning for the future.

Labour's finance spokesperson Grant Robertson will be talking to businesses, business organisations, training and education providers and community groups about the party's Future of Work Commission.

The MP is also chair of the commission which is undertaking a two-year programme to develop a comprehensive understanding about the changing nature of work and its impact on the economy.

Grant Robertson is currently travelling the country consulting on a series of issue papers focused on education and training, economic development and sustainability, security of work and income, technology and the Maori economy.
