The trust dispatched its Whitianga-based crew to the scene at about 2.50pm.
'Due to the difficult location, the Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust Intensive Care Flight Paramedic was winched down to treat her and they were then both winched from the area.
'She was transported to Tauranga Hospital in a moderate condition.”
It was a busy weekend for the Auckland Westpac Rescue Helicopter Trust with its crews responding to 11 incidents from Friday to Sunday.
