Good morning Sunners, it's another beautiful day this morning so let's not waste it.

If you are after something fun and healthy to do. Why not join in the fun at the Mount Festival of Multisport and enter or go and watch the Mauao Fun Run.

It's for all ages and fitness levels, entrants can run, jog or walk one of three tracks from Pilot Bay, around or up Mauao and back to the start point. Enter as a team with your mates and work colleagues or even get the family together for a great day out.

The even gets underway at 11am this morning so let's crack into it and have some fun.

This year, a competitive run will be added, allowing those with a competitive flare to race around and up Mauao and collect a Porotiti. Competitors will be timed to see who can conquer Mauao the fastest.

To show your support for the local Tauranga environment and it's rich history, participants are encouraged to carry a carved or Maori inspired staff.
