Prime Minister Key has set the election date, signaled the sale of 49% of State Owned Enterprises, raised GST, given tax cuts to the wealthy, will borrow approximately $15.6 billion over 12 months, polished his political persona at Christchurch's disastrous earthquakes and then promised that ‘no stone would go unturned' in delivering the 29 miners from the Pike River Mine disaster. Key and his cabinet have dragged their feet over the Leaky Home Crisis and have provided only 25% government funding for remedial work.
They deny that the weathertight problem was a ‘long term systemic failure' by successive governments to govern in the best interests of the New Zealand citizen. Their capitalistic mantra is that the market will regulate itself. What a joke!
The Prime Minister has said that the country is quote, 'bloated and inefficient” unquote. Well Mr Prime Minister, you have been in control and in the driving seat for three years and what negative statistic has decreased over that time?
Hone Harawira and the Maori Party are causing yet another maori political crisis, with the Labour Party and the Greens promoting socialistic policies of ‘dependency for everyone forever'.
All of it a clever ploy to distract everyone from the imminent Marine and Coastal Area bill that is close to being enacted by the Treaty Minister/Solicitor General Chris Finlayson, the National Party and the Maori Party. This bill is as treacherous as the bastardization, misrepresentation, manipulation and rewording of Te Tiriti o Waitangi that was undertaken in the 1970/80s.
