Found hungry and tired, alone aboard Tafadzwa on Monday morning, missing sailor Paul van Rensburg's dog, Juanita, is now in the care of a Chatham Island family.
The 11m steel hulled yacht was towed to the Chathams on Monday, where Juanita is now.
She will remain there until Paul's family decides what to do.

Mother Kylie Haerewa says Juanita is in improving health and is eating.
The dog is after company, says Kylie.
"Whenever anybody moves - she follows.
"My three children Kaleb, Elias and Noah have enjoyed playing cards with her right in the middle of it all morning."
