Money for waste management

Anyone wanting money to help manage waste has just a few more days to apply for funding from the Waste Resources Advisory Group.

WRAG holds a $50,000 fund aimed at supporting Bay of Plenty-based businesses, industry, councils, or community groups to improve waste management. Applications for the WRAG Fund close on Friday, August 14.

The fund application form and further information is available at www.boprc.govt.nz/wrag.

'Waste can be anything from household rubbish to manufacturing offcuts or building demolition materials. We'd love to receive applications from anyone that has a good idea for recycling any kind of rubbish or reducing the amount that ends up in landfill,” says Bay of Plenty Regional Council senior project implementation officer Reece Irving.

WRAG will meet in mid-September to consider WRAG fund application.

Successful projects will receive funds in October.
